Job Description
This position is responsible for all operational aspects of Technical Security Management which includes execution of policies, procedures, and standards of Huntsman's Global IT department.

The jobholder works to ensure proper IT security incident management across the enterprise. This involves the monitoring and detection of security events, and the execution of proper responses to those events.

Prioritized Essential Functions and Responsibilities

With supervision and decision-making:

•Executes all security tasks at an operational and technical level (incident, request fulfillment, change, problem) for Internet proxy and perimeter firewall, across the global enterprise, reports on findings, and escalates to the Security Lead on appropriate next step actions. Uses security tools, reports, and detection software to ensure proper IT security incident management. Work closely with end users, site IT support and sometimes external vendors in coordinating incident troubleshooting sessions. Ensures enforcement of security policies and procedures across data center, networks, databases, and applications layers. Identifies, investigates, and reports on suspected breaches and reviews findings with the Security Lead. Seeks and proposes intrusion prevention activities to protect Huntsman systems and data from outside attack. Responds to alerts and alarms indicating current or potential issues which may lead to a denial of service.

•Develop, document and execute operational processes, procedures and methods for addressing non-compliance to information security standards, authentication rules, security breach escalations procedures, security auditing procedures.

•May assist as security advocate and expert in application development, database design, network, and/or platform (operating system) efforts. May assist project teams to comply with enterprise and IT security policies and best practices.

•Proposes improvements within the scope of the Technical Security team that will lead to automation, standardization, and consolidation for ease of support and maintenance.

•May assist in monitoring and analyzing technology risk trends for the Security Lead and assist with analyzing business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats. May recommend appropriate policies, procedures, and practices to strengthen internal operations.

Other general responsibilities:

•Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

•Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.

•Participates in and completes company-required training programs.

•Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.


Education and Experience

Associate's degree from Computer Science or related field with 2+ years relevant experience OR 5+ years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC)

Specific Skills and Knowledge

•Strong, in-depth technical and hands on knowledge of Internet proxy (Forcepoint Websense appliance-based solution preferred), perimeter firewalls (Cisco ASA preferred), network security, and security technical risks related to key platforms, security architectures and solutions

•Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs

•Strong knowledge of physical, procedural, technical, corrective, preventive, and detective controls

•Proven track record of risk, compliance, and/or security operations management in a landscape of 10,000+ users

•Up to date knowledge new or emerging security technologies, threats, risks, and vulnerabilities

•Good understanding of federal regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley

•Working knowledge of database and application security

•Good awareness of ITIL standards and best practice within operational environment

•Experience in working in a multinational environment

•Fluent in written and spoken English, other languages are a plus

•Good background in delivering via process flows
