Job Description:

Responsibility

Primary:

  • Responsible for full spectrum of payroll functions in SEA entities.
  • Responsible for employment income tax filing in SEA entities.
  • Understand the local statutory regulation such as Employment Act and etc.
  • Liaise with local government authorities on payroll, income tax, and etc.
  • Handle employee’s queries in accordance with HR policy, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Resolve problems and respond to inquiries related to payroll earnings, statutory deduction, tax withholding and etc.
  • Responsible as system superuser on Workday T&A system and liaison on troubleshooting on system queries.
  • Coordinate with management on key initiatives and special workloads.
  • Understand SOX audit and any other ad hoc duties being required from time to time.

Secondary:

  • Responsible for corporate accounting and reporting activities in Malaysia and Philippines.
  • Oversees monthly, quarterly and year ended financial closing process.
  • Liaise with external auditor and tax agent on year end finalization of statutory financial statements.
  • Work closely with business units to resolve issues in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Other projects that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Proficient in SAP system.

Job Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 8 year’s relevant work experience preferably working in audit firm or in a multinational company
  • Strong communication skill, problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
  • Proficient with MS Office and comfortable in learning payroll systems
  • Detail oriented, able to work within deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
