Job Description
Assistant General Manager, Compensation & Benefits & Payroll

Overview
  • The role provides the full range of C&B services/functionality to the local team, group and works closely with the senior management team to ensure that resources and processes are aligned to deliver business goals 
  • The individual is expected to oversee and ensures that both the local and expatriate payroll operations is smooth and efficient. This includes managing the international insurance program and pension schemes. 
  • Ensure that Company C&B policies and processes are delivered and monitored in line with Company strategy and local legislations 
  • Lead the local Payroll and Compensation & Benefits team of 10 
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and develop local Payroll and Compensation & Benefits team members to deliver on: 
           a) HR operational and payroll services for Thailand and Expatriate teams 
           b) Compensation and Benefits support for Thailand and advisory for the region
           c) HR systems co-ordination and alignment between the region and the Group C&B
           d) Lead and oversee performance management processes, including performance reviews and goal setting, salary review and 
               bonus payouts
  • Group C&B function support 
          a) Point of contact from formulating and reviewing compensation packages for senior appointments.
 
          b) Champion and implement Group's Compensation & Benefits programs, policies and procedures to achieve desired market 
              compensation positioning by industry/geographical scope 

          c) Execute/monitor HR cost control activities to maximize employee total rewards coverage against operating costs/budgets
 
          d) Manage/review Group's total rewards reporting and identify specific trends/risk areas/improvements with recommendations of 
              action plans for execution by Country HR Managers 

          e) Manage HR information systems deployment lifecycle with internal/external system developers to achieve operational cost                    efficiencies 

          f)  Conduct C&B harmonization projects, when needed, and manage the communication process and develop supporting 
              documentation for the function's key activities and initiatives by ensuring smooth rollout/transition processes 

          g) Develop strong partnerships with business, Country HR Managers and internal Group HR functions to ensure  
              compensation/benefits initiatives are aligned with business priorities
  • Manage and oversee the team's delivery of team/function goals to drive execution against goals set \
  • Drive learning and development of the team in the area of Compensation and Benefits and Company behaviors to achieve team/function goals 
  • Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Compensation and Benefits and Company behaviors as part of a continuous learning 
Requirements
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Actuarial Science or similar related discipline is preferred 
  • Professional certification is an added advantage (e.g. Certified Compensation Professional, etc.) 
  • Experience in compensation and benefits 
  • Prior experience in global mobility, flexi-benefits (monetary and non-monetary), LTIP and executive compensation and benefits are preferred 
  • Experience in vendor project management 
  • Ability to align reward policy to business objectives and experience in managing a team of people. 
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Ability to provide tactical deployment support/solutions to internal stakeholders 
  • Demonstrate experience in project planning change initiatives 
  • Demonstrate an appreciation of potentially sensitive matters/situations and an ability to handle such situations 
  • Demonstrate a global perspective and experience and an ability to work with diverse cultures 
  • Good leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment 
  • Strong project management with systems integration experience 
  • Some exposure to payroll processing will be beneficial 
  • Pragmatic approach to compensation & benefits advising 
  • Good communication skills 
  • High code of conduct and ethical standards
