Key Objective
The position is responsible for management of overall medical underwriting portfolio and PA agency referrals from the branches.

Major duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible to manage medical portfolio independently
    • Reviewing quotations, ratings, referral and policy wording of medical insurance
    • Handling enquiries/request/propose alternative solution to support agencies business
    • Responsible to deal directly with marketers on all requests of medical presentations
    • Renewal review of all medical policies o Assist in monitoring and maintaining profitability of medical portfolio
  • Assist in Agencies PA related referral, quotation, enquiries
  • Involve in system modification, UAT testing or IT related matters
  • Supervise the flow of work within department; ensure operational efficiencies and technical support turnaround time and response time meet expectation.
  • Responsible to provide monthly report/analysis to Underwriting Manager
  • Assist and involve in development of new medical product
    • Competitor product analysis
    • Handling policy wording, product disclosure sheet
    • Assist in product rating/pricing, referral (work with Actuary/Underwriting Manager/Regional Office)
    • Works with legal on relevant documentation for Bank Negara submission and approval
  • Ensure compliance to A&H underwriting guideline and all regulatory guidelines
  • Any other duties/special projects as assigned

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in A&H underwriting
