Purpose (Job Profile)

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of a talented team that provides analytics that optimize business performance and cost in Durables After-Sales (DAS). This team seeks to improve service optimization through after-sales service efficiency. Improvement on lead time, service level and vendor partnership are to be achieved.

This senior level of Business Intelligence Analyst will work in a global cross-functional setting with DAS leaders, business process owners, world-wide affiliates and technology teams. This role will initially be involved in data mining from databases to provide insights for DAS around the globe. Intermediately, this role will be involved in full cycle of Business Intelligence (BI) development project (i.e.: data warehousing and BI solution), which eventually provides insight to DAS leaders through intelligent data-driven visualizations. In long-term, this role can be developed with advanced analytics skills (e.g.: forecasting, predictive modeling, experimental design, etc.), that provide proactive insights for DAS leaders in failure prevention, financial management, etc.


Key Responsibilities

• Provide reporting and analytical supports to track various business performance aspects.
• Participate in full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of DAS BI Data Warehouse project, to develop a data warehouse which serves as single data source for DAS.
• Develop DAS BI dashboard which enables strategic and tactical decision-making through interactive data visualization.
• Support development of key performance measure to evaluate the effectiveness of DAS and organizational initiatives.
• Identify fact based best practices to enhance or govern data and analytical solutions.

Other Responsibilities

• Support global initiatives to drive profitability and efficiency in the Durables business.
• Support strategic and tactical projects that drive optimization and overall DAS success.
• Provide quantitative analysis to identify strategies/opportunities to lower costs and improve service levels.
• Provide technical solutions to various business challenges leveraging available data or technology solutions and sound DAS analytics.
• Create concise, effective, and polished communications that convey complex concepts in easily understood formats.

Key Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematic, Actuary or other equivalent area.
• Candidate preferably to have at least 5 years of working experience in BI solution (i.e.: data warehousing and BI solution).
• Candidate with full SDLC experience in BI solution is highly desired.
• Candidate must have high proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Candidate must have hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server suite, including SQL Server Management Services (SSMS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Otherwise, candidate with hands-on experience in other relevant data warehousing tool (e.g.: IBM Datastage, Oracle Developer, Informatica Developer, Teradata Studio etc.) will be considered.
• Candidate must have hands-on experience in developing and scheduling SQL stored procedure.
• Candidate preferably to have hands-on experience in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) – Online Analytical and Transactional Processing (OLAP).
• Candidate preferably to have hands-on experience in BI tool, such as Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Power BI, etc.
• Candidate preferably to have hands-on experience or understand Data Warehouse Data Modeling.
• Candidate with advanced analytics skill or knowledge (e.g.: forecasting, predictive modeling, etc.), and/or have experience on using analytical tool such as R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Wei bull++, etc. is added advantage.
• Candidate with knowledge in Reliability/Life Data analysis is added advantage.
