Design Automation Engineer

Job Description
  • Intel design automation engineers develop new design techniques and improve the performance of Intel's next-generation platforms, while our CAD engineers perform circuit simulation, performance verification, resistance-capacitance RC extraction, design database management, design rule checking DRC, and layout versus schematic LVS using a variety of tools.
  • These key engineering team members design, develop, maintain, and provide user support of CAD tools, assist with schematic entry and analysis in the integrated circuit design process.
  • Create and implement computer-controlled automatic test systems.
  • Improve quality and reduce costs.


  • Bachelor Degree or Master degrees in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Computing Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong backgrounds in logic design, at least 5 years working experience in one or more of synthesis, Formal Verification FV, Static Timing Analysis STA, Auto Place and Route APR, Power analysis and Physical Verification.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX*, Windows, Perl, VHDL and/or Verilog, and C/C++
  • Tool Control Language such as TCL, or Tool Kit TK.
