Embedded Software Technical Leader

Job Description

In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for software solution architecture specifications and high level design.

  • Ensuring delivering world class quality software.
  • Requirements elicitation and contributing to software product landing zones.
  • Defining and maintaining technical guardrails (first customer ship quality all the time, build & code standards, etc.).

  • Characterizing technical risks and recommending realistic mitigations and contingency plan.

  • Solicit & secure the right technical resources in concert with Project Manager and Management.

  • Manage the technical oversight - what works, what fits with what.

  • Communicating up, down and across the organization.

  • Software effort/implementation estimation.

  • Knowledge of secure code development and security threat mitigation technique.

  • Deep software knowledge, from the firmware level up into the OS level and beyond.

  • Providing technical guidance and leadership to software Engineers.

  • Supporting embedded Intel architecture and platform solutions in embedded, networking and/or communications market.

Qualifications

You must possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree or a Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Additional qualifications include:

  • At least 10 years of working experience in a system software development environment including a strong knowledge of operating systems architecture with both kernel and user space experience.

  • Demonstrated technical leadership in software development projects.

  • Familiarity with various software development tools such as source control, defect management, static analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and interdependently effectively.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Seasoned technical and business acumen.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated excellence in relationship building.

  • Ability to take technology from concept approval to market.

  • Ability to lead and define complex programs.

  • Working knowledge in C/C++ and/or assembly programming.

  • Working knowledge in Linux and/or Windows driver development.

  • Working knowledge of Embedded Real Time Operating System development is added advantage.

  • Knowledge of Intel architecture and PC system architecture are added advantage.
