JOB PURPOSEResponsible in conduct logistics & distribution intelligence thru compiling data on Supply & Distribution (freight/rates, bunkers, ports etc), supply/demand of vessel ,historical trends, analyze these information vis-a-vis the Department's historical and expected future performance plus incorporate business impact and analysis in order to appraise proposals, opportunities and performance review ,mitigation measure to ensure stability and objective of Supply & Distribution are met under current volatile and fast changing environment1) Analysis of Logistics & Distribution Information Plan, extract, utilize and archive information which includes the necessary market intelligence such as bunkers, vessel supply/demand , business impact & analysis and historical trends and develop and create forecasting models to enhance decisions undertaken by Department. 2) Reporting Prepare and distribute comprehensive weekly reports containing consolidated logistics & distribution department Performance and other cost element i.e freight movement , bunker movement , plant production (KPBI)/sales forecast and market information including identify the gap and recommend so as to create awareness on the prevailing market conditions versus performance and enhance decisions-making for Management.
3) Annual Plan and Budget Consolidate new and revision of annual plan and budget for the overall Logistics and Distribution department, analyze budget variance and monitor budget performance through interfacing with SPBD/Finance department for the budget process, plan and requirement, coordination meeting with plants for interrelated facilities and Logistics and Distribution division to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the budget.
4) Logistics Benchmarking Conduct and prepare comprehensive market research and analysis report on macro and micro environment, emerging trend and development impacting Logistics and Distribution, perform competitive cost analysis and conduct benchmarking exercise to ensure consistency to industry in order to maintain and enhance quality of service, minimize or reduce operational cost.
5) Maintain Logistics Information Bank & Implement Standard System Develop and maintain logistics information bank through systematic and structured database management and in-depth market intelligence which includes logistics contracts, process and procedures, historical and forecast information on logistics market and trending, benchmarking and performance etc to enhance transparency and information can be obtained from one source, thus facilitating the timely delivery of statutory report required internally and externally. Establish and maintain standard system for knowledge sharing across Logistics and Distribution and / or business. 6) Tracking Logistics and Distribution Service Level Agreement ( SLA)Monitor and report Logistics & Distribution SLA performance with plant and business by consolidate the performance, evaluate each key elements, capture the gaps and recommend for intervention to ensure KPIs and business objectives being met and in line with the SLA requirement QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCEQualification :-Degree in transportation, science and marketingExperience :-Preferably minimum 1-3 years working experience in transportation / Logistics /environment / operation / marketing / trading
