Job Description

• This support resource would work in a team which supports the IT operations of RBC locally and in multiple countries.

• The candidate would be required to work in a rotational shift which provides 24 hours support, 6 days in a week for all the 52 weeks (24/6/52)

• Most of the support activities involves shaking and/or replacing the Ink Cartridges of their printers (they have a lot of printers)

• Manage and resolve requests/support tickets

• Provide 1st /2nd level Support on IT requests/incidents

• The resource needs to support, maintain and configure users’ desktops/laptops and any required OS and/or office applications

• Responsibilities also include, User Account provisioning, authentication & access management

• Deploy and distribute software/platform enhancements

• Support telecom/audio/visual infrastructure and services

• Administer, manage and resolve requests/incidents relating to Wintel (Windows + Intel) front and backend infrastructure.


Required Skills:

• Strong communication and written skills (2 years customer service experience as a minimum)

 2 years’ experience in an investment banking environment

 2 years’ experience in managing and supporting Windows client and server infrastructure

• Positive thinker, takes initiatives and has a "can do" attitude

• Basic knowledge on Windows/Office Suite

• Experience in communicating with users face to face and over the phone

• Ability to prioritize tasks and objectives with minimal supervision

• Ability to work in a team and be a team player

• Maintains a keen interest in new technology trends and platforms

• Punctuality is required

• Organised and detailed orientated

• Support Sydney IT infrastructure - facilities, storage, server hardware/software, data centre operations, disaster recovery/BCP and service desk

Preferred Skills:

• ITIL Foundation Certificate / University Degree

• Exposure to blackberry and internet related technologies

• Previous experience working in Financial Services environment

• Exposure to critical IT infrastructure and facilities
