Job Descriptions:
  • Resolve workplace conflicts. Conflicts occur when management makes decisions that factory employees find not acceptable or vice versa.
  • Ability to manage employees in an unionized environment.
  • Represent the company in disputes between Union and Management.
  • Lead negotiations in Collective bargaining for the best Collective Agreement.
  • Develop Employee- Employer relationship.
  • Develop a rapport with the Industrial Relations Office, Ministry of Human Resource.
  • Handle all disciplinary proceedings.
  • Manage the Union in the best interest of the Company.
  • Keep abreast with all updates / changes to the Employment Act, Trade Union Act, Industrial Relations Act, minimum wage orders & etc to ensure compliance.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Head of Factory (HOF) / Heads of Department (HODS) on matters relating to HR policies and procedures as well as HR best practices.
  • Represent the company in conciliation meetings at Labour Office / Industrial Relations Department / Court.
  • Staff Discipline:
  • Assist the HR Manager to investigate into staff misconduct, provide counselling and issue disciplinary letters to address and document staffs wrongdoings, misconducts and non-compliance with pre-set policies and procedures.
  • Conduct domestic inquiry as and when required and ensure employee termination procedures are in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Check staff monthly attendance.


Job Requirements:
  • Excellent communications in both English and Mandarin.
  • Minimum SPM qualification or above.
  • A good understanding of Employment Act , IR Act and the Trade Unions Act.
  • Fair minded and strong personality.
  • Familiar with Malaysia Labour legislation and practices.
  • Results driven and able to work independently and meet present deadlines.
  • Independent, take initiative to learn, and possess with good work attitude.
