Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Be involved in the software development life cycle including application development, implementation, maintenance and post-implementation review.

• Liaise extensively with external or internal clients.

• Analyse clients' existing systems.

• Translate client requirements into highly specified project briefs.

• Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.

• Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.

• Hands-on individual and be able to work with local and offshore teams to deliver projects on the technical aspects.

• Be hands-on and involved in providing user support which requires investigating and troubleshooting issues.

• Provide timely improvements and resolutions to address problems and incidents encountered.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer-related discipline.

• At least 5 years of relevant IT experience and technically competent in Java/J2EE.

• Able to work long hours, when required to ensure timely delivery and project success.

• Strong analytical skills and well-versed with problem resolution methodologies.

• Strong customer-service orientation.

• Possess a can-do attitude, has initiative, creative and able to work under stringent time.
