Job Description
In this role, you will work as Database architect/Data architect; and play the data science and lead the data engineers. H/she must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.

• Own the definition of data architecture components for information management solutions to facilitate storage, integration, usage, access, and delivery of data assets across the enterprise.
• Development of data architecture, strategy and governance to support business, application, security and technology strategic analysis and decision making
• Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models using data modelling approaches (e.g. 3NF relational, Kimball dimensional) in standard modelling tools
• Be a trusted architect adviser to the management team and also give direction to guide the teams in solution design and implementation, being knowledgeable of data analytics trends
• Presents road-maps and architecture landscapes to senior stakeholders to fulfill the organization's data science, cognitive, analytics and reporting requirements
• Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
• Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.
• Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

• At least 7 years design and development experience in enterprise data warehousing and analytics projects
• At lease 5 years of data architect and data managements
• Fluent speaking and writing in English and Chinese language for business communication needs
• Experience with ERwin Data Modeler V7 or a comparable data modeling tool.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures.
• Experience in Oracle, MSSQL, MYSQL database technologies.
• Experience using web services: AWS/RDS, Redshift.
• Experience with enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, and SQL.
• Familiar with at least two of Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlikview, Informatica, ORACLE BI tools.
• Fluency and efficiency in creating technical architecture documentation, presentations and stakeholder pitches
• Knowledge and experiences advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
• Experience using statistical computer languages (Python, SQL,R, C++, JAVA etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

Desired Skills
• Best practices using data solutions using Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Cloudera, Spark, Kafka, MongoDB, NoSQL, Cassandra, Graph, etc
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts.
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, including Visio and Project
• Good communication skills and customer relationship skills
• Knowledge of configuration management and version control processes

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in IT or advanced education on IT/IS.
• TOGAF or other industry recognized architecture certifications preferred
