Job Description
Job Responsibilities 
  • Manage Unit operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient allocation of resources, where applicable 
  • Drives implementation of Group IT Direction and Plan, excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter experts 
  • Manages and tracks team velocity, supervise first level Group IT business solutions support. Review functional specifications documentation where relevant, inclusive of monitoring/tracking of incident and service/change requests in meeting service level agreement obligation 
  • Ensure second level escalated support for technical, resolution and the development of business solutions 
  • Possesses high level understanding in the areas of web/mobile application programming, API, SAP/ERP, database and system design 
  • Evaluate, review and consolidate countries' requests for new application development/enhancement in ensuring a standardized and harmonized processes 
  • Evaluate, consolidate user requirements. Recommend best practices and approach for improvement 
  • Monitor deployment/roll out of projects and global application in timely/control manner. Manages and appropriately escalates: delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated to the product development initiatives 
  • Resolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies 
  • Holds staff accountable for quality and timeliness of programming activities supporting work on development teams across multiple development projects. Working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles to ensure quality 
  • Ensure second level support for global third party applications with vendors for new requests/enhancements and incident resolutions 
  • Assigns and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are 
  • in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget 
  • Ensures all projects are produced and reviewed, including design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery and operations 
  • Monitor and track migration plans for all country local applications to global solution, where relevant 
  • Consistently engage with business and key stakeholder on its requirement 
  • Communicate activities and build commitment and consensus around business solutions activities 
  • Understands, tracks and articulates issues / risks / action items; work with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; update the appropriate stakeholders as needed 
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreement and processes 
Job Requirements
 
  • Demonstrate broad knowledge of IT application functionality and business solutions (e.g. Full stack development, application architecture, automation, DevOps, mobility, .Net, SaaS, JavaScript/HTML5) 
  • Experience in supervising, implementing and supporting applications developed in SQL, .Net, Business Objects, Restful API, SAP/ERP and Mobile platform 
  • Track record as a coach, mentor, and developer of talent. Ability to drive to big picture goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk 
  • management, change management, project management. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact with all levels 
  • Familiar with IT Service Management, Project Management framework, DevOps operation. Full understanding of software development life-cycle best practices, knowledge and implementation of lean and/or Agile processes 
  • Abreast of latest technologies and technological opportunities (for eg. machine learning, AI/AR, chatbot, etc) 
  • Proven competency to handle confidential/sensitive information in an appropriate and secure manner 
  • Proven numeracy and excellent quantitative analysis 
  • Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint) 
  • Demonstrate fluency in both written and spoken English. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional to all stakeholders 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computing/Information Technology or its equivalent 
  • Minimum eight to twelve years' experience in a similar environment 
  • Minimum three to five years' experience in a managerial capacity
