POSITION SUMMARY:
Payroll Manager is responsible in managing the completion of all payroll activities to produce accurate & timely delivery of payroll. This role represents the first level of governance structure in dealing with internal managers and employees on payroll deliverables, escalations, investigations, issue resolutions and process improvements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and processing of payroll and benefits ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance to local internal and statutory requirements
  • Streamline, Build and Manage payroll process to ensure adequate internal controls, drive efficiencies and process improvements, minimize reliance on manual work and/or review while ensuring timely review of ALL payroll computations which includes processing of local based payroll and expats
  • Take charge and Support payroll compliance as well as ad hoc request from local statutory authorities as well as Internal & External Audit. Ensure there is no SOX deficiencies and strict adherence to compliance requirements
  • Effective Vendor Management of payroll service providers. Developing and maintaining positive internal and external relationships (HRBP team, GBS HR and payroll service providers)
  • Manage and Support insurance for the company in terms of vendor management, queries and escalation
  • Lead and process POs and invoices for all HR vendors for the company
  • Support budgeting and forecast exercise for the company
  • All other activities that relates to payroll, tax, benefits and HR vendor management

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Business Degree or equivalent
  • 7 years minimum relevant experience with related, fast-growing, multi-national company
  • Experience in managing payroll for Malaysia. Regional experience in Aspac is an advantage
  • Proven track records in vendor selection and vendor management is essential
  • Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, Macros, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to work effectively and cohesively with the relevant HR teams, Managers and employees
  • Attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the big picture
  • Self-sufficient, Systematic, Organized, Team Player and Resourceful
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Knowledge in Success factors and SRM is an advantage
