Job Description:

  • To possess knowledge on SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and understand the application architecture 
  • To gather knowledge on Business workflows and different products handled by the Client 
  • To perform Code deployment into UAT region 
  • To perform Smoke/Sanity testing after code deployment to ensure deployment is successful 
  • To raise RFC for UAT signed off Incidents/CR’s for deploying into Production 
  • To plan and execute Batches on demand & manage and resolve Environmental issues and showstopper 
  • Tracking/Planning/Discussions of CR/Defects list for a Release until Production deployment 
  • Exhaustive User Support in running UAT phase in planned timelines 
  • To generate report/test data for performing testing & remain as an interface between User and Developer for resolving any issues/clarifications raised for the CR/Defects 
  • To remain as an interface between User and IBM/Network team to resolve any network/application related issues 
  • To define SLO/SLA for each activity been performed in UAT region & escalate to application stakeholders in case of any slippage forecasted in completion of UAT for any CR/Defects 
  • Managing activities performed in UAT region ensuring adherence to defined SLA 
  • User support for resolving any clarifications on CR/Defects post production phase 
  • To manage UAT region by tracking all the activities/task been performed and support for any production work around issues or new product testing undergone in UAT region 
  • Documentation and circulation of Weekly/Monthly status reports 

  • Hands-on work experience with the following: 
  • Knowledge with IBM iSeries AS400, SQL Server Management Studio, IBM WebSphere, SOAP UI 
  • File transfer/server communication protocol tools such WinSCP and Putty 
  • SQL Programming skills 
  • Experience on execution/scheduling batches with Windows Batch Scheduler 
  • Ticketing tools such as Service Now 
  • Windows Operating systems like Windows7, Windows XP, Windows 2000 
  • MS Office Suite (2010,2013): MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Outlook, MS Project, and MS Visio 
  • Servers: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008
