Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to drive and co-ordinate period-end closing activities. Ensure the accounts are recorded and reported on-time, with quality and in full compliance with US GAAP.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory financial statements. Work closely with finance operation staffs and/or outsourced service providers to prepare statutory filings for Honeywell Malaysia entities if required.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to prepare statutory filings and other ad hoc reports required by Malaysian government authorities.
Works closely with Honeywell Tax department to review and ensure the timely and accurate local income tax filing and tracking of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
Works closely with finance operation staffs and/or outsourced service providers preparing the direct and indirect tax calculation and reports.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to ensure timely and accurate filing of direct and indirect tax returns to the Malaysian tax authorities.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to resolve complex, material accounting issues with alignment with SBG Commercial Finance teams.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to ensure strong internal controls and oversee improvements in the control framework. Execute key controls including reviewing key/high risk Accounts Reconciliation and support Malaysia Finance Controller to perform significant/high risk Balance Sheet Reviews, and ensure timely remediation of control risks.
Assists the Malaysia Finance Controller to plan and coordinate internal and external audits of Honeywell entities in Malaysia.
Completes ad hoc assignments and projects assigned by Malaysia Finance Controller on time.
Bachelor degree in Accounting
CPA with 5-6 years working experience, of which 2-3 years comprises external audit experience in a Big '4' Accounting firm
Experienced in US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley
Familiar with Malaysia FRS, Malaysia legal and compliance framework
Experienced in Malaysia corporate tax, withholding tax and SST regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken English as you will be liaising with global stakeholders
Able to work closely with all levels of personnel in Honeywell
Able to work both independently and as a team member
Strong technical and analytical skills
Excellent conflict management skills
Familiarity with Oracle 11i, SAP and HFM is a plus
