Job Description

We are representing our client, who are reputable players in the financial/insurance industry with a strong interest in transformation, strategic initiatives and agile competency. They are expanding are in the lookout for potential candidates for the role of Senior HRM (Operations & C&B)

  • Responsible for Compensation & Benefits, and HR Operations.  Incumbent will also manage and responsible to perform a similar role/provide services to other entities/subsidies as specified by the company
  • Compensation & Benefits
    • Responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the company's compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, allowances, incentive, health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, deferred compensation, internal products and affinity programs.
    • Develop, document, implement, communicate and standardize processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations related to compensation, benefits and data privacy
    • Works with senior management to ensure that compensation and benefits programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements.
    • Ensure market competitor analysis is carried out to attract and retain talent.  Maintain market data and participate in pay and benefits surveys and enable access to current market pay data to support HR business partners and line managers.
    • Manage and implement the annual pay review process accurately and effectively within the approved budget.
    • Ensure remuneration & benefits entitlement for employees who are on Short-Term International Assignment and Long-Term International Assignment are prepared and processed accurately.
    • Responsible for HR budgeting process and submission.  
    • Monitor effectiveness of existing compensation & benefits practices, policies, guidelines, procedures and provide recommendations and actionable input to enhance the current practices.
    • Communicate compensation and benefit programs to employees’
    • Introduce new initiatives to promote innovation, digital and continuous improvement practices.
    • Introduce flexi-benefit program to meet the diverse needs of employees’ and mechanism to manage and control cost 
    • Ensure all employees share scheme related matters including Long Term Incentive (LTI)  are handled and implemented as per Group and Local guidelines.
    • To review, propose and maintain relationships with external vendors/suppliers of employee benefits and develop other non-cash reward initiatives/affinity program.  Example the engagement of medical TPA & etc. 
    • Develop & introduce a total reward statements for all staff
  • HR Operations
    • Ensure policies and practices are compliance with the applicable laws, regulations & guideline including Employment Act, IR Act, Trade Union Act, Central Bank of Malaysia, General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM), Group/Regional Offices & etc at all times
    • Ensure compliance to data privacy & integrity by having a clear guideline & procedure in terms of data stores, processes, retrieves to ensure data maintenance, accuracy, consistency over its entire life-cycle.
    • Manage and lead the HR Operations team and ensure optimize effectiveness and delivery and demonstrate leadership qualities to guide and facilitate the success of individual team members throughout the function.
    • Ensure the HR Operations team are focused on delivering outstanding HR services to the external & internal stakeholders.
    • Develop and enhance procedures, documentation, processes and systems that are within Ops function.
    • Recommend and report on metrics to help manage the effectiveness of HR, its programs and processes.
    • Leverage resources and systems to build the HR reporting library, making it easy and accessible for HR and business users.
    • Develop and deliver HR Reporting in a proactive manner to maximize effectiveness of the HR team, enabling and imbedding analytic capabilities in the HR Ops team.
    • Ensure reports such as SDR, Central Bank of Malaysia, Affin Bank, Risk Register, Business Impact & etc are submitted within the timeline.  
    • Partner with the relevant stakeholders to maximize the user experience on HR services & systems (internal system)
    • Implement initiative to increase the adoption/utilization of HR system & automation initiatives (internal system & robotic for both modules WFA for Operations).
    • Manage the overall utilization of HR Operations resources and able to measure and report on productivity, effectiveness and customer service levels.
    • Become an expert on best practice for HR processes and promote improvements for efficiency and excellence in delivery.
    • Hire, train, develop and motivate the HR Operations team. Complete performance evaluations and measure individual’s goal attainment toward building a high-performance, consultative, accountable mindset.
    • Creates a culture of innovation by taking the initiative to look for and suggest ways to continuously improve the HR Operations process and drive toward higher efficiency and quality.
    • Develop and maintain HR practices, procedures, documentation and systems including knowledge management, performance dashboards and quality control mechanisms
    • To participate in project as and when required.
    • To participate in the Business Continuity Process as part of the BCP team members/Department Leader.
    • Ensure effective and efficient process of payroll processes

  • Degree in any field, Master holder in Human Resources would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience in and/or similar role/capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and great team player.
  • Excellent in influencing and coaching skills. Proven effective people management skills.
  • Project and Change Management skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, a transformational leader with strategic mindset
  • Analytical and prior experience in involving into transformation projects is an added advantage.
  • Incumbent will also manage and responsible to perform a similar role/provide services to other entities/subsidies as specified by the company
