Roles and Responsibilities:
IT Application Management (Time - 60%)
Manage and execute the development, design and implementation of new applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages.
Maintain a strong focus on effective delivery with cost efficiency in ensuring that the investment in IT realizes the intended benefits.
Define action plan to support IT strategy through sound planning, established methods and resourcing to deliver projects within agreed timelines.
Manage, enforce and review system change adhered to software development life cycle and software quality management.
Manage and optimize system delivery through REUSE strategy via proper adoption of Service Orientated Architecture design.
Manage application availability with timely resolution of issues and problems
Implement policies, procedures, standards and best practice to drive center of excellence for IT application development
Stakeholder Management (Time - 20%)
Manage, optimize and prioritize business demands in relation to business value generation and resource capacity with all business unit heads.
Manage relationships with senior management and business managers to deliver credible and consistent solution services.
Manage vendor, business partner and GroupIT relationships to provide delivery flexibility in application development
People Development & Management (Time - 20%)
Lead, attract and retain high quality individual contributors to build the strategic and operational capabilities and sustainable by;
setting clear direction, goals and engaging staff to translate these into personal actions;
developing the leaders and high performers through effective learning and development;
driving right way for effective and quality processes mind set
Manage and optimize resource planning and utilization to deliver maximum output to support business demands
Coach and mentor team to acquire the technical and soft skills to execute their jobs.
Manage performance and individual development plan in alignment to IT strategic plan
Minimum Job Requirements:
Degree in IT from an accredited institution. Master’s degree is preferred.
10-12 years of experience in IT application development environment, with at least 8-10 years in supervisory or management capacity.
Subject matter experts in Life Asia system and integration technologies supporting Life Asia
Sound experience in managing IT projects with high level of expertise in system application and technology implementation delivery.
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders
Strong analytical and decision making skills.
Strong leadership capabilities that can lead, influence and motivate to create a high performing team
Domain proficiency in insurance business and its operations including distribution channels modus operandi is essential

Handling end to end New business processing starting from creation of Client id,Case start up, New business login, Follow up for policy issuance, Quality Check
Follow up with HUB for policy issuance of pending cases
