Senior Sales Specialist

  • We are seeking a Senior Sales Specialist – Power Generation to join our team in Malaysia who will be responsible to develop Power Generation market by executing sales strategy to achieve and exceed the sales target and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. To work as a team with the cluster sales, build trustworthy relations by working for each other with transparency and same. 

Reporting to the Local Product Group (LPG) Cluster Sales Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement sales strategy through growth initiatives, strategic sales and business development. Focus on customer face time and provide undiluted service to customer base. 
  • Establish sales targets and ensure sales achievement through value based selling and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales and also participate on negotiation of contracts. 
  • Identify opportunities with existing and potential new customers and determine plans for marketing activities to promote extended sales coverage 
  • Identify and develop automation opportunities in the early pursuit leads stage 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and ensures efficient marketing communications. 
  • Coordinate the smooth flow of information of sales activities and transactions, including leads, offer submissions, clarifications, orders, contracts etc. and evaluate date to ensure achievement of goals. 
  • Monitor client financial status and report changes, take ownership of sales process and ensure quality screening of projects with meaningful inputs in order to determine the bid/no bid decisions. 

Key requirements include:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Instrumentation and Control Engineering) 
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing and sales in power generation projects and service 
  • Previous experience of ABB control system, especially Symphony Harmony, Infi90, Advant, control systems. 
  • Knowledge of Power Plant’s generation process and knowledge of Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine Controls will be an advantage 
  • Candidates applying for this role must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to work in a global team environment and cross cultural teams, and build solid relationship with key partners.
