Job Description
The Senior Solution Architect role will require a technology visionary who can manage the design, development and implementation of the major technical initiatives that support strategic business programs and facilitate revenue growth. It involves collaboration with a broad range of specialists across the business, application development, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure teams – with both internal and external clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to get into the details while providing strategic, technical, and operating expertise and guidance, and bringing creativity, vision, and passion to the technology organization and its services. Along with the company’s senior management team, the role will contribute to the development of the company’s holistic business strategy including customer acquisition and retention, product roadmap development, infrastructure and platform development.

The role:
  • Lead and drive the payment technology vision for the company 
  • Spearhead and supervise all functional areas of technology including software design and development, enterprise architecture, quality assurance and testing, production operations and technical support, network and systems administration, and information security management 
  • Provide strong daily leadership, and management to company's technology teams, including recruitment, employee training and development, and performance management 
  • Able to pick up multiple technologies (e.g. other than languages, but also front end, back end, mobile, etc) and be on top of technology trends and innovation 
  • Grow and scale the team by recruiting world-class technical talent as needed. Create and foster an environment conducive to innovation, high productivity and quality 
  • Provide leadership to development projects that improve the functionality, reliability, scalability, and security of the company’s applications and systems 
  • Drive a software development lifecycle process and culture that ensures the appropriate balance in which quality products are produced in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Ensure sound architectural designs are employed and advocate best practices and processes 
  • Managing relationship with the banks and payment cards providers’ technology team for seamless integration and service delivery 
  • Create a strong culture to manage technology projects within timelines and communication with stakeholders 
  • Oversee the technology organization’s information security, disaster recovery, and business continuity efforts 
  • Work in partnership with internal functional teams as a technology partner in forwarding business capabilities 
  • Assist the senior management team in crafting the Company’s holistic growth and management strategies 
  • Deliver the highest level of service to both internal and external constituents including developing SLAs 
The person:
  • Proven dynamic leader with at least 5 years of experience managing technical teams, including responsibilities for hiring, management, resource allocation, and budgeting 
  • About 10 years of experience in software design and development, preferably in a SaaS or web-based environment and understands API management and development 
  • Core understanding of the KYC issues, payment compliance requirements and customer privacy issues 
  • Core knowledge of information security vulnerabilities, risk management and payments industry compliance 
  • Deep knowledge of JAVA, (and / or) MS .NET, C#, SQL Server, Web services and related technologies 
  • Proven leadership track record in designing and implementing complex, mission-critical and high traffic web architectures 
  • Exposure in e-commerce, payments, core banking and financial services in a consulting role
  • Familiarity with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and experience in architect solutioning 
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and delivering mobile solutions 
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, as well as a team-oriented and collaborative environment, and interact with partners and customers directly 
  • Self-motivated and directed, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline; Master’s degree in one of these fields and/or TOGAF certification is an advantage 
  • Experience in start-up projects / businesses is an advantage
