Includes various IT functions in the internal information systems function including systems programming, networks, and computer operations. Includes jobs responsible for managing information systems within a specific functional area (i.e., manufacturing). Assists in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of internal systems. May maintain a tracking system for usage evaluation. Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies. Develops and reviews operator and control instructions. Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software. At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
About this role:
  • Ability to architect, deploy and operationalize VMware based platforms for large multisite enterprise supporting factory, corporate and Engineering environments.
  • Collaborate with the other server, SAN and application teams, identify operational characteristics, determining the presence of a problem, identifying possible solutions, selecting the most appropriate solution, and implementing that solution in a timely manner in accordance with Change Control Process.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for Windows Servers in physical and virtualization environment and supporting Active Directory, AD DNS/ Microsoft Clustering.
  • Plan, coordinate, and administer matters related to Microsoft Windows servers including base definition, structures, documentation, upgrades, SCCM/WSUS patching, operational guidelines and security of systems.
  • Formulate and monitor policies, procedures, and standards related to offsite/onsite 24X7 support model.
  • Assist in the installation, implementation, and upgrades of Citrix technologies.
  • Maintain usage evaluation and right sizing of Systems under support.
  • Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures for support processes.
  • Other responsibilities include: troubleshooting, patching, software installation and upgrades, auditing activities, and resource utilization.

Your experience includes:
  • Designing, implementing and administering Windows Server, VMware and Active Directory Services.
  • vSphere systems administration, vSAN, SRM, NSX, VRA, VRO, PowerCLI.
  • vSphere problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis.
  • Backup and recovery for Windows server, System tuning and monitoring, and patching experience with WSUS and SCCM.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocol, Storage like EMC/NetApp, Microsoft Clustering and server hardware like Blade and Enclosure
  • Microsoft certification is an added advantage.
