Job Description

Company Overview:
  • We are representing our client who is a global operating system provider of services and products in the field of conveying and treatment technology as well as tyre repair. They are currently looking for potential candidate to fill the role of Supply Chain Executive.
Purpose of Position:
  • The Supply Chain Executive ensures performance of the supply chain from order to shipment to billing and associated Customer Service. Including tracking inventory and orders as well as forecast future supply needs. This position has both external and internal customers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and submit purchase orders for the Malaysia and nominated markets of South East Asia operations with China, Germany, US and South African factories and other local suppliers.
  • Respond promptly with Order Acknowledgements (AO’s), ensuring accurate information is provided and updated to all customers – internal and external.
  • Follow up on back orders and notify Operations of impacts to forecast deliveries.
  • Produce and track quotations (RFQ’s) for enquiries for domestic sales in Malaysia and nominated markets within South-East Asia. Coordinate with Asia regional office (Tianjin).
  • Monitor shipments and update the customer, providing a highest standard of communication on the supply chain work flow.
  • Handle product non-compliance issues with the supplier.
  • On time invoicing in conjunction with the Accounting department.
  • Monitoring stock level at nominated warehouse locations and at bonded warehouse when applicable.
  • Ongoing demand forecasting.
  • Maintain part costs and vendor quote information in the ERP/SAP system.
  • Assist with inventory counts, mid-year and at year end, combined with regular stock checks and variance reporting.
  • Help perform cycle counts with the Sales Manager, and Product Management.
  • Negotiate pricing with a view to maximizing the Business Unit profitability at all times.
Job Requirements:
  • At least Degree in Supply Chain or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Supply Chain preferably in Industrial and Automotive environment.
  • Detail oriented with good analytical skills and meticulous.
  • Computer literate and well versed with MS office, ERP and SAP system.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willing to travel.

Working Hours:
  • 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
