Job Description
Must Have Skills

• Knowledge and hands on experience of Java, JavaScript, ASP .Net.

• Knowledge or experience with Web API, C#, SQL Server 2008/2012, MVC, Entity Framework, JQuery

• Experience developing .Net or Java based applications

• Experience in any ETL tool with good knowledge in ETL concept

• Experience in Pentaho concepts and implementation would be an added advantage

• Good exposure to various data load strategies.

• Hands-on knowledge of different types of transformation, filters, aggregation, handling files, logging, cache management etc.

• Hands-on knowledge of common schedulers

• Experience in Data modelling for OLTP, OLAP systems

• Experience in entity relationship and dimension modelling

• Experience and hands-on in relational database technology e.g. Oracle, MySql, Postgres

• Hands-on Knowledge in various data warehousing concepts such as Normalization, De-normalization, SCD Type1, Type2, Type3

• Hands-on knowledge in SQL scripting (Select, Joins, Triggers, Procedures, Insert, Functions etc).

• Hands-on knowledge in tuning of SQL Queries, Indexes, Partitioning

• Hands-on knowledge in developing procedures and functions

Good to Have Skills

• Basic Unix commands

• File and Directory operations

• Users, Owners, Groups and permissions

• Basic shell scripting

• vi commands

• Managing processes and job scheduling

• Understanding or knowledge of Big Data technologies and software

Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement technical vision for client project based on design from solution architect

• Responsible technical delivery & testing of modules assigned by solution architect

• Assist in requirements gathering and data analysis as needed

• Estimate work effort and assist the Project Manager with task planning and LOE (level of effort) estimates

• Understand data warehouse architecture and ETL design

• Expert level building & maintaining SQL procedures and ETL processes

• Interact with client on regular basis

• Peer review of work products of other team members for compliance with development standards

• Provide support in database development best practices

• Develop and review technical documentation

Position Requirements

• 5 years of experience in ETL and database technology

• 3-5 years of experience in Java and .Net technologies

• 3 years of experience in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence

• In-depth hands-on experience with multi-terabyte data warehousing, ETL and BI

• Experience in building at least one data warehouse end to end

• Strong business understanding of technology solutions applications developed

• Expert level in-depth experience with stored procedures, SQLs and scripting and automation of jobs

• Proficiency with error handling and reconciliation and incremental data loads

• Experience working with the database triggers, packages, procedures and functions

• Ability to understand source systems, data dependencies, interfaces, integration, ETL, data integration and reconciliation

• Good communication skills interacting with business users, executives, and technologists.

• Strong written, presentation and communication skills

• Experience working in a banking environment would be an added advantage
