Windows administrator is required to take care of day to day tasks which includes –

• Working on issues raised by users, troubleshooting issues and provide solutions.

• Installation of Windows servers and applications when needed.

• Administration of Windows servers such as application installations.

• Monitoring for disk space and performance.

• Creating users in active directory.

• Granting permissions to users.

• Resolving tickets raised.

• Coordination with vendors for any issues that need vendor intervention.

• Working in datacenter whenever there is need to perform activities on Windows servers by being in datacenter.

• Readiness to work in multiple shifts and on odd timings. Being available on weekends if weekend activity is planned.

Required Skills/Domain Knowledge

"Windows Administrator needs to have following skills:

• Strong experience in administration and troubleshooting of Windows server 2008 /2012/2016.

• Strong knowledge of active directory, DNS, TCP /IP and general networking concepts.

• Must have worked with day to day user issues, application related issues on windows servers.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Strong experience on VMware Vsphere 5/5.5/6.0/6.5. Vcenter management.

• Creation of VMs. managing and troubleshooting VMware environment.

• Scripting knowledge, especially PowerShell will be an added advantage.

• SQL DB server administration or IIS Web server administration experience.

• Force point /Websense Web security.

• Management of Citrix Secure browser infrastructure.

• Management of Citrix App Delivery Controller.

• VMware vRealize suite, vRealize automation.

Preferred Skills/ Domain Knowledge

• Certifications on Windows and VMware.

• Experience in working on production environment.

• Diversified Experience in Windows domain.

• Knowledge of virtualization in general and managing VMware environment such as creating VMs, monitoring performance.

• Snapshot and cloning etc.

• Ability to work under pressure.Multi-tasking ability.

• Strong communication - verbal and written.
