ABB’s Electrification business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.
You will be responsible to work on pro-active basis with TNB, SESB, SEB to achieve targeted growth, develop, implement and manage the assigned Utility and E-Mobility segment account(s) strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. You will be based in Subang Jaya; Malaysia. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will coordinate the sales activities and manage resolution of specific customer problems.

Job Description:

Your responsibilities :
  • Exhibiting good knowledge of Utility & E-Mobility segment, customers and projects in allocated market.
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element.
  • Establishing and developing account relationships based on a defined strategy.
  • Acting as focal point for problem resolution and monitors customer claims. Planning, facilitating and conducting customer negotiations.
  • Developing, maintaining and sharing the detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, and competition.
  • Experience working in direct Sales & business development role in Electrical Industry for Utility & E-Mobility projects.
  • Should have commercial strength to negotiate and close sales deal.

Your background

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience in electrical industry (Low Voltage & Medium voltage products) as well as segment / application knowledge in Utility & E-Mobility market.
  • Prior experience of working with Utilities in Malaysia would be an added advantage.
  • Broad understanding of direct sales to Utility & E-Mobility customer.
  • Technical knowledge of switchgear and strong customer focus.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and ability to work across reporting lines.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
