Job Description

• Qualify logged cases to confirm correct categorization (e.g. break/fix, question, consulting request, software issue, and enhancement request). Assist to restore service as quickly as possible in the case of outages.
• Perform regular performance tuning activities
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to help analyze and identify root causes that are difficult to repro-duce.
• Deliver fixes to resolve defects found in custom/integration code for the supported solution. A fix may be in the form of modified and re-compiled object code, modified scripts, adapted configuration files, recommended configuration changes or feasible workarounds to remediate or close the incident.
o Workarounds will be suggested to mitigate issues if a final resolution is not available within a reasonable amount of time or to lower the severity of high-severity incidents more quickly. A workaround is an action taken that does not fix the underlying defect but mitigates the effects of that defect. Workarounds may apply for example if a Compatible Software update or significant change in custom code is required that can only be applied through a quarterly or yearly maintenance service due to the impact on the overall solution. A workaround may be acceptable as final solution if there is no or low impact on the use of the solution 


• Engage Software Support if root-cause is isolated to the core product. Software Support standard processes will be used to request workarounds or fixes for Software Support issues.
• Engage Customer or third party support if root cause is isolated to supporting infrastructure or third party software.
• Facilitate case escalation if required.
