Responsibilities / Introduction
Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources.
Manage the implementation of credit policy, processes and internal controls to ensure governance over the credit control/collections function.
Work closely with the relevant functions to improve efficiencies of their Credit Management role via the business partnering approach.
Keep track of the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and ensure prompt payment collection.
Manage renegotiation of customer payment plans and reassignment of credit limits to ensure recoverability of debts.
Manage continuous improvement initiatives to streamline existing credit control processes and improve efficiencies through a better utilization of automated systems.
Partner with internal stakeholders in improving collections (e.g. days sales outstanding, monthly collection targets, etc.) and resolving potential collection issues.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to ensure timely recovery of payments.
Provide financial/variance analysis and commentaries for global corporate functions.
Prepare management reports for accountability purposes. Drive implementation of process and systems improvement in coordination with Head of Finance.
Minimum 5 to eight 8 experience in a similar role
Minimum 4 to 7 years experience in a managerial capacity
Preferably Managers specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent.
Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the business and industry
Demonstrate sound knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles and practices; credit control experience is preferred
Proven hands-on experience in SAP accounting applications is an advantage
Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Provide real time language interpretation to client on call / video. Required language Mandarin/Cantonese + English *Require to pass Speaking test in order to apply.
