Job Description



The Role Responsibilities

Strateg

  • RM would be responsible for franchise revenue for his/her own set of clients. Concurrently, as the senior RM in the GS, he/she is also expected to assist the GS Head through having oversight on more junior GS RMs and working closely with the CA and CM in deepening relationships and driving revenue growth for the GS segment.

  • The RM is overall responsible for post deal account maintenance and managing the risk associated with his/her own portfolio. He/she has oversight on the GS CM who holds direct responsibility for post transactional activities and the CA for credit related activities


  • Assist GS Head in the development and implementation of the client strategy for his/her designated portfolio via the following deliverables:


(i) Accountability for delivering financial performance objectives (revenues, costs, RoRWA, etc)
(ii) Accountability for all other objectives for the management and development of client
relationships, specifically compliance (AML, CDD) and credit risk

  • Provide timely and constant feedback from the industry and clients to help shape the GS client strategy


Business

  • Identify new opportunities and convert in line with Bank&rsquos appetite.

  • Ensure quality of the sales pitch and lead discussion with clients. Also review the term sheets before delivering to clients.

  • Work with CA to obtain all pre-deal clearances.

  • Effective use of Workbench platform(client management platform) for managing a healthy pipeline and also a record of client calls and discussions.

  • Oversee CM to ensure smooth on-boarding of client after thorough completion of documentation and other processes.

  • Senior client calling and briefing on a regular basis for account maintenance and deal negotiation. Also engage senior internal stakeholders for marketing, credit and any other pertinent issues.

  • Work closely with CA, product partners, Global Account Manager(GAM)/Regional Account Manager(RAM) to analyze a) wallet b) determine appropriateness of the product and c) work out a comprehensive account plan.

  • Successfully negotiate and close out pricing and other deal dynamics with client


Processes

  • Oversee the quality & turnaround of credit proposal and ensure faster delivery. Work with CA for resolving Credit queries.

  • Oversee the CM to ensure all documentation and security creation are completed on time to ensure smooth execution of transaction.

  • Liaising with Legal/external counsel/CRC in preparation and execution of non standard complex transactions along with product partners.

  • Work with CDD team to ensure proper completion of eCDDs.

  • Along with the product partner, push for line utilization of complex and structured transactions. Oversee the CM in ensuring high utilization of regular WC facilities.

  • Review Failed Trade status, EAR, ASTAR CCRT, etc with the CA to ensure discipline and quality in portfolio

  • Review the excess/past due situation with CM to ensure they are regularized and also facilitate approvals wherever required.

  • Review and monitor the client profitability to ensure there are no revenue leakages.

  • Attend various internal or external sales/ non sales meetings like EAR, CAT, MTM calls, Portfolio Review Meeting and convene the consortium meetings where we are the lead bank.

  • Maintain record of Confidentiality Agreements Overall responsible and accountable for the credit quality of the assigned/acquired portfolio.


People and Talent

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. As the senior GS RM, to set appropriate team tone and expectations and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.

  • Provide feedback to GS Head to review team structure/capacity plans.

  • Provide feedback to the GS Head on more junior GS RM in line with their performance objectives.


Risk Management

  • Take the initiative regarding regulatory, reputational and ethical matters, by providing proactive advice to clients as identified

  • Embed the Group&rsquos values and code of conduct and develop a robust culture to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among team members.

  • Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to the job holder&rsquos attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate escalation to Regional and Country Banking Heads and Group/governance committees, as appropriate


Governance

  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
