Business Analyst
Location : Malaysia
Major job scopes are to support the operations by providing reporting; interpretation and data-based recommendations; drive Quality Excellence Standard and BPM (Business Process Management) program for ICS PG CC team.
Work with stakeholders; design complex reports using data from one or multiple systems to specifications. Deliver reports in format to aid stakeholders (PowerPoint; PDF; etc.)
Review delivered reports for data accuracy. Work independently to resolve quality issues of complex scope directly with business stakeholders
Uses business acumen to look beyond the data to generate recommendations for a wide variety of moderately complex problems to review directly with stakeholders
Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
Intimately understands system relationships and data flow. Uses industry best practices for data management
May be responsible for data governance processes and quality in assigned area of responsibility
For Quality standard/excellence space; the key responsibilities are to lead and drive quality related initiatives to meet GCS standards. This includes the scope to be the advocate of the quality transformation effort; proactive data analysis; perform testing/quality checks to fulfill business and data quality requirements and all other initiatives to improve the quality performance of the organization.
On the BPM space; the key responsibilities are to use business process management best practices to improve organizational accountability and performance as well as driving change management; conduct training; provide coaching and support the indicators reporting. Responsible for creating and defining the business process(es) within a specific group or function. Develops strong relationships with customers to understand business processes and identify value drivers.
Other scopes include but is not limited to creating BKMs; documents; etc.
Candidate should have demonstrated background in working with data; proficiency in business process management/ improvement; strong analytical capabilities; and independent. The ideal candidate should also have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly read the system and influence across functional and geographic boundaries. Other skills and abilities include:
• Able to synthe complex data into themes; stories and recommendations
• Intermediate systems knowledge in assigned functional area. Working knowledge of how systems work together and functionality of systems upstream and downstream
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Knowledge in PowerBI is an added advantage)
• Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
• Able to present data in a visually compelling format to help stakeholders understand the issues; possibilities and recommendations
• Good influencing and partnership to work in a global environment and through virtual teams
• Good systematic problem solving – possess process analysis and improvement capabilities
• Good understanding of business process improvement approaches
