Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Bayan Lepas
Specialized in Aerospace, Medical and Oil & Gas Industries
Position Summary
The primary job responsibility is to act as the customer contact for high level technical and sales support for new and existing customers. The role is primarily to support the growth objectives of company in Penang, Malaysia, but also to work with global customers on behalf of Company (USA) to provide integrated solutions to customer objectives. The position is based in Malaysia, and will require some travel.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Degree or Advanced Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent
  • Ten (10) years or more experience in engineering based companies, including in a senior customer relationship role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills, with a demonstrable track record in sales/marketing/business development.
  • Strong PC computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand prints.
  • Speak, read and write fluent English.

  • To help formulate and implement growth strategies within existing and new customers.
  • To help formulate and implement growth strategies within existing and new customers.
  • To represent both company's Malaysia and US operations with key customers
  • Perform analysis of industry, customers and competitors to best position the company for success and maximum value to our customers.
  • Develop business from new customers to meet corporative objectives for business diversification and growth.
  • Help support estimating activities where necessary
  • Provide weekly summary and status of activity, as well as quarterly account management status.
  • Team with in house Account Managers and team to ensure customer satisfaction is being met.
  • Independent, driven, and results oriented personality.
  • Identify and meet with customer engineers to provide technical value by reviewing prints for manufacturability, identify cost reduction and identifying potential opportunities for the company.
  • Build positive rapport and relationships with senior level customer contacts to ensure we are on a path as a Preferred Supplier for our customers.
