Maintain Oversight of
o Resilience top threats/risks
o Ensure proactive plans to prevent realisation and
o Appropriate mitigation or acceptance plans [recovery & contingency] inplace
Instil discipline driving comprehensive Resilience and Continuity Risk Governance o Controls monitoring and exception management
o Comprehensive risk assessment and
o Govern adherence and exceptions across IT
o Lead Technology Resilience assessments resilient design, operational and service management processes technical architecture, data resilience, testing and failover automation activities
Support Resilience Audit requirements
Alignment with key stakeholders [CISO, BISO], Participate in the Business Resilience horizon scanning activities, to establish future developments and identify areas of risk
This role will also foster close working relationship with other TS domain UORMs & ITO R&C to ensure alignment with Group Operational Risk Framework and appropriate 2nd line governance of Resilience risks across Technology
Continuity Risk Management Environment Identification & assessment: Ensure that the identification and assessment of resilience/continuity risks are effectively completedacross the organizationo Leading a range of risk & resilience assurance reviews in order to deliver high quality insight and advice to senior management on how risk & resilience is being managed
o Promoting the continuous improvement of risk and resilience through the development of close and continuous relationships with management
o Providing a professional service to stakeholders through the assessment of risk and the evaluation of control challenging poor performance and ensuring issues are escalated, as appropriate
Monitoring & Reporting: Implement a process to regularly monitoring appropriate risk profiles and material exposure to losses and provide appropriate reporting mechanisms to the board, senior management and the business lines. Data capture and operational risk reporting should be continuously enhanced and provide a feedback loop to enhance risk management policies, procedures and practices. o Compliment the Operational risk mgmt framework & Enterprise risk management framework in order to help maintain a controlled, transparent and focused resilience risk management capability
o Reviewing and analysing risk and resilience MI, both internal and external, in order to identify current and emerging trends
Control & Mitigation improve the effectiveness of the Internal Controls programme by reviewing the control environment, risk assessment process, control activities, information and communication and monitoring activities. Assess operational risk response strategies. Validate risk transfer options. o Planning, leading delivery and reporting of assurance reviews, including follow up actions
o Delivering robust and insightful output, with minimal supervision, in line with risk and resilience methodology
o Delivering meaningful assurance reports which drive insight and decision making
QUALIFICATIONS:
Significant experience in the field of IT Resilience, IT Service Management, Disaster Recovery and Information Security & Cyber Risk. Strong understanding of applicable Organisational Resilience Risk and BCM regulatory requirements in financial services sector. Demonstrable extensive experience of assessing, designing and implementing IT service management (ITIL) frameworks, processes, Thorough working knowledge of IT service delivery in a large and diverse IT environment Up to date knowledge and awareness of Technology Resilience and Cyber Risk trends and hot topics Excellent communication, both written and verbally. Self starter, able to self manage with strong collaboration skills and able to interact effectively with others. Possess negotiation, communication, facilitation, efficient decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. - A strong & assertive communicator in speaking & writing. Expert understanding of banking technologies and infrastructure Demonstrable experience of working with Tier 1 providers of service continuity and disaster recovery services Demonstrable and deep experience of coordinating resources across multiple locations Expert understanding of appropriate legal, industry standards and good practices for service continuity Expert in the ITIL IT Service & Continuity Management process Strong senior stakeholder communication and influencing skills
