Job Description :
  • Processing of Foreign Exchange transactions which include Confirmation with clients through JPMorgan systems, phone, email etc.
  • Ensuring all payments are processed correctly and settled released within cut off times.
  • Resolving of outstanding breaks in the Nostro/Wash accounts, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Risk Mitigation of trades as per procedures set by the business. Reviewing inherent risks, ability to spot gaps and instituting preventive and detective controls.
  • Creating and publishing daily MIS of key performance and risk indicators.
  • Establishing excellent relationship with both internal and external clients
  • Ensuring that all issues are investigated and resolved in a timely manner as per Service Level Agreement.
  • Ensuring that any issues are escalated to team leader within an appropriate time frame.
  • Understanding of key controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the implementation of strategic initiatives; identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities in the daily workflow

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Good understanding of Foreign Exchange/ Derivatives products
  • Good understanding of MT messages, Payment processingand CLS Settlement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to identify, understand, and address operational related issues.
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing global and virtual team environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to develop relationships across the various stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and ability to deliver under minimal supervision
  • Understanding of the end-to-end transaction cycle for FX and Derivativesproducts
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with time-critical deliveries whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize, and mitigate operational risk
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Strong teamwork, people and organizational skills
  • Should be creative and innovative; challenges status quo with the goals of identifying control issues and process improvement opportunities
  • Flexible to work on staggered shifts
  • Experience with investment banking environment is a must, preferably in Back Office
  • Bachelor’s degree, Finance / Economics or other related disciplines is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
