Overview
As part of the Celestica Global Automation team, you will be the leader of a small Commissioning team that integrate custom automation solution for Celestica's global requirements, including stand-alone cells and large robotic assembly lines. As a Team Leader, you bring experience in the commissioning of complex automated equipment under strict safety regulation and Celestica Global standards. You should demonstrate dexterity, integration & debug expertise, attention to details, time management and teamwork to build world-class equipment
In this role, you will report to the Production Manager.
Technical
. Drive the commissioning activities of the manufacturing of automated equipment & Lines.
. Proficient in testing techniques, utilizing test automation frameworks and processes.
. A strong technical aptitude with the ability to identify analyses and solve problems.
. Ability to understand Programming of complex machines with Codesys IEC 61131-3 PLCs
. Proficient in of PLC & fieldbuses including EtherCat
. Ability to integrate into databases and MES
. Prior experience with safety systems and software integration
. Knowledge of IEC, ISO, CE, and cUL international standards
. Ability to set up & test robots, machine vision systems, servos
. Ensure a safe work environment for one's self and others when commissioning machines
. Understanding of complex machines with multiple software platforms and the ability to integrate hardware such as screw guns, dispense systems, laser-marking systems.
. Make sure safety guidelines are respected all the time
Project Execution
. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
. Assist in preparing customer documentation
. Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures
. Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in a group meeting.
. Complete other duties and projects as assigned
. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines
. Ensure scheduled milestones are met
Qualifications
Education
. Has successfully completed either a University Degree or College Diploma in Electrical or Computer Engineering / Robotics Automation Technology
Experience
. 5 years in integration/commissioning of complex automated equipment & lines.
. Previous team leader role experience.
. Knowledge of E-plan is a must.
. Previous experience with integrating, troubleshooting articulate, and gantry robot.
. Previous experience with integrating and troubleshooting PLC & Safety System.
. Previous experience with integrating and troubleshooting Vision assembly.
Travel
. Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier locations is less than 1025% of time, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs
