Job Description:

This role will work as part of Data Analytics and Insights Team to deliver and execute the communications strategy. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, Communications Specialists should be innovative, organized and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external role-players.
Support Overall Strategy
  • To develop, support and implement communications strategies, channels and messaging which deliver relevant and engaging information; support team priorities; and uphold and reinforce the Group's values and culture. Working closely with/in support of the Function Heads on implementing the Communications agenda
  • Help shape and set the direction of the team's future strategy for content and campaigns globally, bringing maximum creativity, enthusiasm, and results-focus
  • Support the Function Heads to deliver on the strategy to align content campaigns and content across our domain and around fewer themes, properties, and core messages

Drive Content Governance and Delivery:
  • Write and deliver high quality communications content and ensure we are telling more effective ‘stories as we engage our audience (internal/ external).
  • Act as a coordinator of the team's content delivery, using relevant tools to ensure this is appropriately planned and of a consistently high quality with no opportunities for impact missed
  • Responsible for the development and delivery of strategic executive and enablement communications aligned to our domain and service line priorities and leadership vision.
  • Support colleagues to plan, produce and deliver newsworthy and engaging content aligned to our core communication themes, including writing and editing content, such as for social media posts, web copy, events, videos, polls, and infographics
  • Support in implementing a communications analytics and measurement strategy to ensure internal communications in the team evolves, is efficient, effective and supports our priorities and enablement objectives.
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the wider team's strategy and in support of various initiatives
  • Collaboration on cross functional communication campaigns

Prioritise People and New Ways of Working
  • Work closely with the Team Leads to plan / schedule calls, activities, communications.
  • Partner with the TDR Communications Team and the Corporate Affairs and Brand Marketing (CABM) teams where necessary (including colleagues within Regional/country teams, Group Internal Communications, and our Strategic Communications Partners).
  • Work with approved, onboarded external vendors and suppliers for video and other collateral and designs (infographics, Wallpaper etc.), when required.

Enable Continuous Process Improvement
  • Ensure a process of continuous improvement through working with the relevant teams to measure and analyse the impact of our content, channels and implement key learnings
  • Continually learn and keep abreast of industry best practice, foster collaboration within and across our operational boundaries, stakeholders and support the TDR agenda.

Be Risk-aware
  • Adhere to Group Communications Policy guidelines and the TDR Communications Workflow as outlined in the CABM Community & TDR Resource Centre on the Bridge, respectively.
  • For example:
    • Ensure adherence to employee data control requirements in use of Poppulo (email distribution tool)
    • Familiarise and follow the Bank's Corporate Communications Style Guide.
  • Understand, anticipate, and manage reputational risk arising from our content, and support the TDR C&E, CABM Operations team on its adherence to the Group's Operational Risk Management Framework

Exemplify Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the team and our Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Strong written and communication skills working with English-language content for a PR/ media agency or a large multinational company for at least three to four years
  • Self-starter who can scope, plan, and deliver their work effectively, being able to manage and prioritise multiple assignments
  • Experienced in employee/internal communications
  • Effective creative, project management and organisational skills
  • Independent, adaptable, proactive, and resourceful who is also a strong team player, who can interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Able to engage, and manage colleagues at all levels and especially with confidence and tact senior stakeholders
  • Experience of digital content preferably in financial services is a plus but not limiting
  • Compelling experience in implementing innovative and successful thought leadership and/or marketing campaigns
