Job Description

As a member of the Technical Pre-Sales Department, you will work closely with the Sales Team to position our Portfolio of Solutions, drive field Systems Engineers in their projects and report product evolution requests to Product Management.
  • Member of the CSE team, covering the APAC region (with some infrequent travel to EMEA).
  • Second level of pre-sales, supporting the SE organization:
    • In responding to RFPs/RFIs: design, solution specification, product information.
    • In supporting key projects to ensure Fortinet's success.
    • In leading technical discussions, articulating the technology and demonstrating differentiated value.
    • In conducting compelling solution presentations, demonstrations and POCs.
  • Being responsible to build technical material to support sales activities (slideware, solution brief, white papers, success stories, etc.) and design workshops.
  • Effectively disseminate product knowledge to the Sales Team and Channel.
  • Point of contact for the Product Management team: responsible to report and consolidate customer needs across APAC, validate business cases, write and prioritizing feature requests.
  • Report project activities, analyze project trends and provide market vision.
  • Participate in the development of commercial strategies.
  • Participate in seminars.
  • Travel as required in APAC region.
  • Being able to self-start and understand the addressable market for your designated technologies.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and peer CSEs to provide your input on product direction and strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • 5+ years work experience in IT with specialization in system security, computer networks (LAN/WAN) and network security
  • Detailed knowledge and strong experience in installation and configuration of computer networks (LAN/WAN), and network security technologies e.g., switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, host security solutions, etc.
  • Detailed knowledge and strong experience in network protocols and services e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, PKI, etc.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting system, networking, and LAN/WAN issues
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with diverse sets of technology implementations e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Linux, etc.
  • Expertise level in at least one of the following areas:
    1. LAN Switching: (subject areas including) Detailed knowledge and hands-on experience with implementing ethernet based LAN solutions
    2. Network Access Control experience in the following technologies would be highly beneficial Pulse Secure, Network Sentry Campus Manager, ForeScout, Cisco ISE
  • Fortinet NSE 7 or other equivalent certification is a plus
