Job Purpose and Impact
The Continuous Improvement Engineer & Plant Analyst will contribute to developing, implementing and sustaining process improvement initiatives. We seek a professional who will conduct continuous improvement activities with low-to-medium project cost and risk and activities with well-defined processes for 2 facilities.
Key Accountabilities
  • Drive and support further implementation of the Accelerated Continous Improvement (ACI) approach throughout the two facilities. Support the mentality change towards establishing a sustainable self-contained CI culture
  • Champion the change management associated with ACI strategies and guidelines in the plants
  • Support in digitalization and analytics to deliver improve performance and results for the plant operations
  • Directly provide updates on the project objectives, performance measures, issues and risks to senior staff/ stakeholders
  • Identify, monitor, and implement continuous improvement best practices.
  • Contribute to developing and handling continuous improvement plans for projects with low-to-medium cost and risk, reaching and sustaining project goals.
  • Conduct organization readiness assessments, value realization, opportunity prioritization, resource evaluation and execute continuous improvement strategies that meet business requirements.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

  • Other minimum qualifications may apply

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-10 years experience in working in the industry with continuous process environment

  • Have proven track record on implementing a CI/ACI culture, both on the shop floow as well as at management levels

  • Experience in applying CI in production or maintenance in process industry

  • Strong coaching and effective communication skills

  • Have basic knowledge of most common CI tools

  • Manage and lead multiple activities simultaneously

  • Effective stakeholder management skills

  • Professional knowledge of CI tools (GreenBelt preferred)

  • Experience in leading multi-functional teams

  • Demonstrated success working independently in a remote, global environment

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

  • Demonstrated good analytical skills

  • Good working skills on MS Office and Minitab software will be an advantage

  • Strong facilitation skills for training and workshops
