Job Description

  • To assist department head in designing and transforming Credit Evaluation via data optimization for all retail products.
  • To support the department in process improvement and achievement in efficiency towards targeted performance and reduce TAT.
  • To prepare and monitor MIS reporting to analyze the booking and performance trends of the portfolio.
  • Ensure the periodic MIS reporting and dashboard are delivered in accurate and timely manner, and within internal/regulatory requirement. Any breaches should be highlighted and escalated to the key stakeholders for timely actioning.
  • Conduct MIS reporting trend analysis on Retail Lending portfolios, with a view of identifying adverse trend and potential issues for proactive management.
  • Pro-actively identify problem areas and opportunities within Retail portfolio with processes, policy and market/industry analysis to enhance profitability of the franchise.
  • Tracking of new retail product rollout to monitor the performance and success level of these initiatives.
  • Handle control work including exception reports review, monitoring of warning signals and recommending appropriate remedial strategy according to laid down policies and accounting standard.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare relevant proposals and reports to management.
  • Assist in presenting analytical observations and influencing business decision-makers to propose policy recommendations.
  • Continuous streamlining and review of reporting/dashboards contexts to ensure the relevance of output and presentation interface delivers the insights of the analysis in an effective manner.
  • Develop, automate and enhance periodic MIS reporting/dashboard using analytics tool (SAS, BI tools, etc) to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop Credit datamart to automate MIS reporting, enhance MIS reporting/analytics quality and improve credit evaluation process.
  • Maintain and support credit data and data repositories. Champion enhancement and automation of portfolio analyses and data management - reporting and system.
  • To develop acquisition segmentation dashboard to monitor and improve booking quality.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and development of policy/business strategies to support bank's risk and return objectives.
  • Support Credit related projects and initiatives and monitor the result/performance.
  • To comply with the Bank's credit policy and guidelines, Statutory Guidelines and standard procedure/processes.
  • Efficient service deliverance and guidance to credit and system team.
  • Handling of BNM/Internal/ External Audits requests.
  • Perform duties and work assigned by Head, Strategy Credit Planning and Head, Group Retail Credit as and when required.

  • Formal Education : Minimum Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
  • Professional Accreditation : SAS analytics/Certified Credit Professional (CCP)/Professional Credit Certification (PCC)/Credit Skills Assessment (CSA)/Any equivalent certification.
  • Preferred level of Experience (by years/function/industry) : Credit related experience - Minimum 4 years or more functional credit experience either in credit processing / analysis or credit evaluation
  • Core credit experience - Minimum 2 years or more managing the retail banking portfolio either in consumer or HP / PLM portfolio or other relevant business units credit portfolio

  • Self-motivated & ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
