Our client is a market analytics platform, using innovative technology to help fashion businesses make data-driven decisions required in an increasingly competitive market.

The Job

You will be leading our expanding, dynamic Engineering team and will be responsible for:
Building data-driven SPA with the ability to manipulate complex filters and generate plots in real-time.
Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining customer-facing Web applications.
  • Iterating the UI/UX of the dashboard and building intuitive and interactive visualisation charts.
  • Designing and developing APIs while meeting both technical and consumer needs.
  • Implementing high-quality code in an agile, test-driven development environment.
  • Performing performance and scalability analysis.
  • Creating detailed software development plans and directing the team to completion.
  • Scoping the development efforts, providing reliable resource and timeline estimates.
  • Setting standards for product/process quality, monitoring the team’s output, and owning the performance management of engineering team.
  • Recruiting, mentoring and coaching software engineer team.
  • Creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Working with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and supporting their data infrastructure needs.

The Profile

  • You possess a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and have at least 4 years experience building and delivering enterprise software at scale using AWS technologies, developing and maintaining complex data systems.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience shipping production code in Python and Javascript is also required, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
  • You have advanced knowledge of React, Node.js along with experience in GraphQL, D3.js and Docker.
  • You are skilled in mathematics, particularly statistics.
  • Good project management skills and experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, is a must.
  • You are a highly skilled engineer who is comfortable with both programming and architecting big data.
  • You are detail-oriented and have excellent problem solving abilities.
  • You are intuitive and have a good understanding of what the user is looking for, thus helping you build a user-centric mindset.
  • You believe in performance-driven work environment and strive towards creating a high-value culture.
