Job Description :
To carry out preventive maintenance and repair all process and utility equipment. Keep all equipment in the best operating condition and minimizing equipment breakdown. Comply with GSK GMP and EHS requirements.The role
  • Maintain and repair the defined plant equipment to maximize plant availability and minimize disruption to the production process.
  • Operate, maintain and repair the defined utility system to ensure constant and reliable utility supply to the plant at all times so as to minimize disruption to the production process.
  • Maintain the site equipment and facility to high GMP standard meeting the regulatory expectations such that the site is always inspection ready.
  • Support implementation and execution of the Product Contamination Cause and Elimination (PCCE) program.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and good housekeeping is maintained.
  • Carry out implementation activities for minor plant modifications and capital projects, in line with defined specifications and budget.
  • Takes personal responsibility for quality in all aspects of maintenance work that will have impact on product quality.
  • Initiate, encourage and implement Lean Sigma activities and implement JDI/CI projects that lead to reduce overall cost and improve cost effectiveness e.g. improve equipment reliability, standardization, etc.
  • Ensure cost effectiveness of all maintenance jobs.
  • Maintain and repair the defined plant equipment to maximize plant availability and minimize disruption to the production process.
  • Provides timely technical advice to other departments for trouble shooting / continuous improvements to processes / systems.
  • Familiar with GSK Safety Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Good Engineering Practice, GMP to carry out maintenance activities to high quality standards.
  • Support implementation of the GSK Production System (GPS) for Engineering Services.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with:
·Diploma / ITC / NTC 2 or 3 in engineering with minimum 3 years in manufacturing plants as preferably as Maintenance Technician in Chemical or pharmaceutical Industry.
·Familiar with good engineering practices, safety and GMP procedures.
·Good knowledge in maintenance and operating principles of production equipment and utility equipment
·Able to work on rotating shifts
·Proficiency in technical engineering, problem diagnosis and resolution.
·Good command in Windows environment (MS office), SAP & EHS Guidelines
·Good communication and coordination skills with contractors / vendors
·Able to interpret P&ID and mechanical drawings
·Knowledge of machinery vibration, reliability analysis, instrumentation will be an advantageWhy GSK
