We are the sole and exclusive air cargo capacity manager for the AirAsia Group of airlines. AirAsia is Asia’s largest low-cost carrier group with over 250 aircraft in operations, comprising of 9 separate airlines across 6 countries (and growing). At Teleport we are excited to transform the way air cargo is managed, sold and transported in Southeast Asia because we believe air cargo is 30 years behind its time. We are embracing technology at speed before it disrupts the industry, and us.
As an operator transporting cargo to over >110 airports across Asia, we are at the frontlines of this large, but unsexy space. This white space motivates us to redefine the way the supply chain operates, expand our suite of services to get closer to the end-customers, and to build products that empower both small business owners as well as large enterprises.
We are looking for an individual with number-thinkin, meticulous, analytical Executive of Finance . As a Finance Executive, you will be working with a team of 4 - 5 people – they will be your lifeline and your family during the day-to-day financial operations, especially during the month end financial closing. This role will be on a full-time basis and you will be reporting daily to the Finance Manager.
You will fit perfectly if you have prior experience in finance/accounting related field. Having good knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls with highly analytical and problem solving skill will make you stand out in this application.
Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead end-to-end execution of the day-to-day financial operations of the Company, such as the functions of AP, AR, interco, cash and bank, fixed assets, cash flow and other financial related transactions

  • Prepare monthly management and financial reports for management and various stakeholders on a timely and accurate basis

  • Liaising and working closely with auditors, shared service function and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial closing process

  • Analyze financial reports and provide meaningful feedback to management

  • Ensure financial records are in compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS and MFRS) and the applicable laws of the local authorities

  • Assist and support in strengthening and improving of internal control and processes

At the onset, you may be culture-shocked working in AirAsia and with the Teleport team. To help you adapt better, we would like to share our beliefs on leadership.

  • Roll up their sleeves as needed, and never delegate work that one would not be willing to do themselves

  • Do what is needed to get things done, as they believe speed is more important than anything else to effect change

  • Over communicate, particularly as they are all quite autonomous

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg ACCA/CPA Australia/MICPA)

  • Problem solver and good in time management

  • Ability to work under pressure & work in a tight timeline given

  • Ability to work as a team with a collaborative management style.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
