Job Description

  • Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships
  • Develop & utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity based financial analysis to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans
  • Co-ordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
  • Organizing and overseeing the Company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and other shareholders meeting.
  • Attend Board and Subcommittee meetings including being the lead staff on the Audit/Finance Committee
  • Develop financial business plans, models and forecasts
  • Run investment analysis
  • Participate in corporate policy development and the development of short, medium and long term financial plans, and projections
  • Where required, represent the company to financial partners; investors, institutions, auditors, public officials e.t.c
  • Remain up to date on company audit best practices
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions • Implement financial policies and procedures
  • Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management policies and procedures
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and performs other activities as assigned
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all Fixed assets
  • Oversee the production of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Develop and maintain systems of Internal Controls to safeguard the financial assets of the organisation.
  • Oversee the coordination and activities of independent external and internal auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved and all compliance issues are met and the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with Malaysian and Bursa accounting standards
  • To ensure a Finance disaster recovery plan is in place
  • Work with the MD on the strategic vision including fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships
  • Optimize all tax incentives available to the organisation
