Responsibilities / Introduction
Role responsibilities
MainAccountabilities:
Prepare complex sales quotations (technical and commercial) together with proposal drawings for the customers in coordination with the Account Manager
Support the sales force developing solutions in order to prepare a quotation for a customer.
Handle customer requests, questions and updates relating to the prepared quotations.
Check final order and sales contract with the accepted quotation and clarify/solve any discrepancies.
Initiate preparation of technical documents (descriptions, drawings etc.) for complete and effective handover to the project engineering team in order to allow the production process to begin.
Develop and maintain good internal working relationships with Customer Project Manager, Sales and Account Managers, System Engineering, Service, Business Managers, Product Managers, Purchase, Production, etc.
Maintain good working relationship with regular customers; develop good working relationships with new customers.
Maintain efficient and reliable quotes administration.
Key performance Indicators:
Quality, timeliness and completeness of quotations
Quality of technical support and advice to Account Manager and Customers
Customer satisfaction on technical presentation of quotations.
Accuracy of pricing and on-time communication with the Account Manager
Quality of data retention on server and quotation tools for hand over to colleagues when required
Scope Indicators:
Number of customers, markets and products
Sales volume
Complexity of Quotes/ type of projects
Requirement
Main function: Sales & Marketing
Sales & Marketing provides the day to day selling of company's products and solutions resulting in direct revenue for the company and sustainable customer satisfaction.
Purpose of the role: To handle incoming requests for complex and simple quotations, provide evaluation and technical advice to support globally located Account Managers.
To prepare winning quality bid offers with the optimum technical and commercial combination of products, solutions and services.
Core competencies
Education, knowledge and working experience:
Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
3-5 years of relevant experience within a relevant industry, completed with commercial experience may be an advantage
Good knowledge of industrial power systems products/applications/solutions
Good knowledge of assigned markets and customers
Understanding of commercial / contract law
Computer Literacy
Fluent in English
German or French language skills would be an advantage
Personal characteristics:
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Real team player
Pro active
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Effective in time management
