Job Description
- Manage and oversee Haulage department overall functions.
- Plan, organize, manage and control of all aspects of container haulage activities that will optimize the utilization of available resources, maximize earnings and improve efficiency.
- Ensure all works in the haulage operations is performed in accordance to the company approved procedures & standards and applicable law and regulations.
- Analyze any problem arise and find solutions to resolve problems.
- Ensure all appropriate safety and security measures are in place.
- Liaison with internal department functions to ensure achievement of delivery.
- Monitor performance of haulage department and conduct periodic review on the progress.
- Lead, coach and manage a team of drivers to provide the best level of service to internal and external customers.
- Coordinate and arrange annual inspections by regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for monitor all haulage maintenance / service.
- Oversee proper use of fuel by maintain log for fuel usage and fuel storage tanks.
- Monitor and schedule fleet maintenance and repairs.
- Train and supervise all subordinates under your coverage.
- Conduct appraisal of staffs and periodic evaluation including confirmation of employment.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned or required from time to time.
