Job Description :
1. Assist Head of Audit in the following:
  1. Maintain the audit methodology, standards, policies and guidelines for the Division.
  2. Develop the yearly audit plan and monitor, track and ensure that the plan is completed on target with explanation for variances.
  3. Prepare Division’s operating budget and allocate the Division’s operating costs to other Divisions.
  4. Provide independent quality assurance review on audit engagement work papers and audit engagement process.
  5. Manage the following tasks and activities in Audit:
  • Operating expenses.
  • Division-wide training for Audit staff.
  • Audit related projects.
  • General office administration.

f.Track Division’s KPIs achievement.
2. Define, improve and manage MIS for Audit and provide information on:
  • Progress of audit plan and explanation for variances if any.
  • Periodic MIS reports to Management Committee, Board Audit Committee, Group Audit and BNM.
  • Adhoc MIS reports as and when requested by Group Audit and Management.
  • Operating expenses to ensure that it is within budget.
  • Status of audit issues.
  • Staff movements.
  • Cross assignments.
  • Guest auditors.
  • Staff training.

3. Work in conjunction with other Head of Departments in Audit to provide a conducive and effective working environment in Audit.
4. Liaise with regulators / external auditors.
5. Take minutes of Board Audit Committee and Head of Department meetings.
6. Serve as Audit’s Division Compliance Officer reporting to the Bank’s Chief Compliance Officer Qualifications
  • Degree holder or other equivalent qualifications.
  • 5 years of experience in Audit function of banking industry.
  • Subject matter expert on audit framework and methodology.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Possess initiative and ability to lead a team.
  • IT savvy and well versed with data analytics tools and Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint.
  • Organised, systematic, meticulous and good time management.
  • Resourceful and have good problem handling abilities.
