Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and manage remittance product opportunities to increase the remittance franchise value

  • Understanding new market developments and trends and updating product features within internal and external guidelines and/or regulations with regards to remittance products for the business to remain competitive and relevant

  • Strategize, initiate and execute ideas to bring traditional Over The Counter remittance products on to digital channels in the most timely and cost efficient manner with both internal stakeholders and external partners

  • To collaborate and cross sell various other Personal Financial Services products where available/suitable to increase customer base and usage to realize potentially untapped franchise value

  • To lead and support the business in all areas of its functions which include projects, sales, marketing, operations, product support and training

  • To assess, review and provide decision on matters relating to risk management, audit and compliance related areas which may involve both internal stakeholders and external service providers and/or partners including governing authorities

  • To oversee and manage all of the Retail Remittance team members in the areas of employee engagement, people development & resource management

  • To support the broader bank as a whole on matters related to fintech, FX and remittance

  • To serve as the subject matter expert on FX and global regulations on matters surrounding remittance

  • Ensure business adherence to all regulatory, bank and departmental policies and procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizens

  • Candidate with at least a Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Administration, Banking & Finance, Management or equivalent.

  • Min 15 years of working experience in banking

  • 5 years experience in holding PNL responsibility or in a general management role.

  • Prior experience in fintech, remittance, money transfer and foreign exchange domains within large local or foreign banks would be an added advantage.
