Responsible for day to day operations and administration of RHE Linux and other Linux distribution, VMware/KVM and Windows in global IT infrastructure
Global VMware/KVM environment optimization and resource monitoring
Global server deployment for both Linux and Windows.
Establishes and maintains security integrity controls.
Formulates and monitors policies, procedures, and standards relating to the global server.
Patching of server operating system through tools like WSUS, Spacewalk, and Katello globally.
Produce documentation for tasks completed, according to established standards.
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
Requirements
Understand different administration tool for each platform
Strong administration and troubleshooting skills
Strong working knowledge of RHEL, VMware and Windows administration
Must have experience with patching, server deployment, and remote console management
Strong knowledge in RHEL, Open Source tools/services, clustering, and automation scripts
Experience in supporting global infrastructure for ESXi host, KVM, and bare metal
Proactive and forward-thinking attitude and creative problem-solving ability
Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross-functional teams
Strong written & oral communication skills in English
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good knowledge in networking, storage and hardware architecture
Experience with ITSM tool like ServiceNow
