Functional (job responsibilities)
  • Responsible for application & system security flaw analysis, security control design, development, and ensure compatibility to external cryptographic systems
  • Enterprise security control, LDAP/single sign on & ACL. Experience on BNM regulatory, & security penetration test.
  • Explain vulnerabilities to application/system owners and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Review vulnerability result, advice on remediation, and monitor remediation results.
  • Ensure amended and enhanced systems meet BNM & Bank security compliance
  • Ensure proper documentation of all development to facilitate future maintenance and enhancements. Employs the risk assessment methodology issued by the Information Security Department to ensure proper controls are build as required by the business
  • Provide expert advice for continuous security improvement to prevent external attacks
  • Liaise with Risk & Audit team to define security systems requirements.
  • Provide options/alternatives available to address security finding for temporally fix due to SLA & follow by a permanent fix
  • Analyze changes & impact on existing systems whenever a new security measurement is patched.
  • Prepare, conduct and review of system tests, to ensure accuracy and completeness to ensure problem free-implementation.
  • Provide support during implementation of security related enhancement and system. Liaise with other departments within division & IT Risk & IT Audit for smooth deployment.
  • Prioritization and assignment of tasks for development and implementation.
  • Evaluation and acquisition of tools, utilities, hardware (including upgrades) and software of security solution.
  • Decision on the approach for security improvements.
  • Attend to security audit finding, assist and facility the necessary inputs, remediation or improvement.
  • Liaise with Risk & Compliance team to define security systems requirements.
  • Provide security architecture review and security solutioning on new projector new system enhancement.

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
  • Assist the Manager in the managing of team members and coordinating team assignment and activities
  • Handles other operational duties and management functions as assigned by the Head of the Department from time to time.
  • Handles queries and correspondences with internal and external auditors, BNM and other statutory bodies
  • Notifies management about potential security problems which are not adequately addressed by existing control mechanisms
  • Provide assistance to Business departments and branches
  • Recommendation on improvement of controls and procedures in system security and software changes
  • Proposal on improvement of work/process flow
  • Proposal and Recommendation on guidelines, procedure and process
  • Review software solution on Security, Compliance requirements

Organizational (organizational responsibilities)
  • Verify & Recommendation of overtime, leave application, mileage & pager allowance claims
  • Recommendation for Leave & emergency time-off.
  • People management of staff including setting objectives, performing appraisals, creating personal development plans, succession planning, etc
  • Conduct Evaluation of staff performance
  • Recommendation on training requirements for team members
  • Manage human resources allocation for Dept
