In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Responsible for Linux Ethernet Device Driver Development for various MAC controller and PHY integration.
- Responsible for Architecting driver, estimation, Coding and unit testing including secure design and ensuring delivering world class quality software.
- Responsible for system level debug to root cause the issue and come up with solution on Ethernet domain
- Responsible to optimize the Ethernet driver and system to meet driver and system KPI
- Working with diverse Software team, marketing and customer support team to create software product releases.
- Negotiating technically relevant landing zones.
- Defining and maintaining technical guardrails (first customer ship quality, build & coding standards, etc.)
- Characterizing technical risks and recommending realistic mitigation.
- Manage the technical oversight – what works, what fits with what
- Providing technical guidance and leadership to software Engineers.
Qualifications
You must possess a Bachelor's or a Master's degree or a Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Additional qualifications include:
- At least 8 years of working experience in a system software development environment including a strong knowledge of Linux OS architecture including kernel and user space.
- Ability to analyze network protocols to troubleshoot networking problems and to recognize and develop network performance solutions [TCP, IPv4 and/or IPv6, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)]
- Demonstrated technical leadership in software development projects.
- working experience with software development tools such as source control, defect management, code static analysis.
- Ability to work independently and interdependently effectively.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in relationship building.
- Ability to take technology from concept approval to market.
- Ability to lead and define complex programs.
- Working knowledge in C/C++ and/or assembly programming.
- Working knowledge in Linux Device Driver development.
- Working knowledge of Embedded Real Time Operating System development are added advantage.
- Knowledge of Intel® architecture and PC system architecture are added advantage.Inside this Business Group
