Get to know the team:

  • You will be part of an exciting BD team which is responsible for growing and managing the accounts of key merchants for GrabFood Malaysia.

The Role:

  • You will be managing a portfolio of F&B key accounts with a focus on building lasting relationships and increasing profitability/revenue.

  • You will be responsible for the pitching of marketing campaigns and selling of new products/programmes to existing and new merchants to drive growth.

  • You will be assisting in elements of business identification, partnerships, account management, and execution strategy. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Development, GrabFood Malaysia.

The Day-to-Day activities:

  • Manage a portfolio of key restaurants with a focus on building lasting relationships and increasing profitability/revenue.

  • Liaise with key merchants for merchants funded promo programs, partnerships, new products and new features.

  • Identify bottlenecks and potential issues related to merchant operations and deliver solutions to these issues.

  • Drive growth of key accounts by analysing data and develop initiatives to increase profitability / revenues aligned with country targets.

  • Propose business improvement projects to create value for both merchants and Grab Malaysia.

  • Evaluate strategic and partnership opportunities, performing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses.

  • Lead cross functional project to improve merchant experience or campaign set ups

  • Drive operational excellence by working with the merchants and operations teams.

  • Proactively work with both central and local city teams to share best practices and efficiently use common resources

The must haves:

  • Bachelor (or above) degree in Business/ Management or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years (for an account manager role) or experience in sales, business development, partnerships or equivalent role

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak in other dialects such as Mandarin is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs

  • Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

  • Have a competitive edge and great negotiations skills

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • A highly independent individual with excellent team-working skills

  • Experience in F&B industry is a plus
