Get to know the Role
The Lead Program Manager reports to the Value Delivery Leader in the VMO organization. VMO provides business partnership, demand planning, program/project management, budgeting, regional P/L management and IT Governance services across various Grab departments and teams.This role will
  • You work efficiently to deliver the right programs and/or projects on time and consistently delighting your stakeholders.
  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects.
  • You develop and maintaina budget and operating plan for the program.
  • You apply change, risk and resource management throughout the program lifecycle.
  • You ensure the program is being run with appropriate governance to mitigate the risk of cost or time overruns or failure to meet the program’s objectives and key stakeholder needs.
  • You have a Grab-wide view of how your programs or projects contribute value (top or bottom line or risk avoidance) to Grab.
  • You play a leadership role in your team and provide guidance/advice on technical and business issues.
  • You share best practices with other PMO functions within Grab and are widely regarded as an expert in program and project management practices.
  • You show good vision and judgement when making technical and business trade-offs between short term needs and long term benefits.
  • You are vocally self-critical and exhibit a growth mindset.
  • You continuously seek to improve GTS ability to deliver large cross-functional programs and projects at Grab. Your work and approach are exemplary and you drive best practices and set standards within VMO.
  • You are not contented with status-quo and seek to improve processes within and beyond GTS. When confronted with a discordant view, you foster constructive dialogue and seek resolutions in a professional way.
  • Prepare reports for senior leadership, ensure due diligence in project documentation, reviews and sign offs.
The must haves skills
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience, out of which 6-8years in managing large scale transformation programmes, including Finance Systems rollout and implementations.
  • Industry Project Management certifications (PMP/PgMP/PMI-ACP/Prince2)
  • Expert knowledge and experience in program and project delivery and governance.
  • Demonstrable track record of managing multiple projects to ensure successful delivery.
  • Able to apply and adapt project deliverywith different methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid).
  • Outstanding leadership, organizational andinterpersonal skills, which will enable you to succeed in Grab's fast paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle communications to management, detail oriented and analytical.
  • Experience working in a dynamic fast moving environment where autonomy and self-decision making is needed, able toanalyze situations and create structure out of ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
Really nice to haves skills
  • Preferably Scrum Master Certifications, experience with Agile management methodologies.
  • Preferably COBIT or CISA Certifications, or IT Audit background.
  • Preferably knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Wiki Confluence, etc.
